One way to get involved with the Auction is to host a parent or kid party. Parent/kid parties not only raise money for our wonderful school, they also build a sense of community by bringing parents/kids together in a fun way. Multiple families/parents can host together, so it can be done with minimal effort.

Parent party ideas: fiesta, martini night, Bollywood, spa parties, cooking classes, wine tasting, whisky tasting, sushi and sake party, Brazilian, Oktoberfest, specialty dinner parties, etc.

Kid party ideas: pool parties, father-daughter dance, origami parties, father-son sport parties, Lego parties, end-of-year parties, etc.

We are in most need of a new TREASURER for the coming school year. The description is below. Please keep in mind that this position comes with a lot of training and support, so do not be intimidated!  It just requires someone who is comfortable with basic finances.  If you can manage your family finances, you can handle this job.

GB PTA Treasurer Role:

*Responsible for maintaining financial records of the PTA and filing related IRS documents.

*Assist in financial aspect of activities that involve revenue, such as fundraisers and membership.

*Prepare Annual Budget, pays bills and monitors expenses.

*Present monthly reports to Board. 

*Ensures bonding and insurance requirements are maintained. 

*Coordinate tax return with outside accountant. 

*Oversee Assistant Treasurer, Audit Committee, Book Fair Treasurer, and Scholarship.
