I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at Gardner Bullis next year! My name is Maddie Hernandez and this is my sixth year teaching Kindergarten. My first five years have been spent right down the road at Covington Elementary. After born in Dallas, I grew up in the Bay Area right down the road from Los Altos. I graduated Saratoga High School and then attended Baylor University in Waco, TX where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. After graduating, I knew I had to return to the Bay Area where the weather is perfect and the people are unmatched! Teaching Kindergarten has given me so much joy these past years. The relationship that students and teachers make is one of the most important aspects of their education and will stay with them forever. Outside of school, you can find me on the beaches of Lake Tahoe reading, relaxing or hiking!
