Teaching has been my passion for the past 24 years. I have had the opportunity to teach in a wide variety of educational settings. The types of schools I’ve taught in include: public, private, charter, and a school for children with dyslexia. I have also taught students at all grade levels from kindergarten through eighth grade. Teaching kindergarten and now 4th grade for the Los Altos School District has brought me great joy. LASD empowers their students, parents, and teachers to work collaboratively, share their personal passions, and celebrate community. I have spent many years dedicated to education. I received my B.A. in U.S. History and teaching credential from UCSD. After teaching for five years, I went on to earn a Masters in Education and reading specialist credential from Santa Clara University. Following my 12th year of teaching, I acquired my National Board Teaching certification in early childhood education. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, walking, biking, and reading. As a proud mom of a former LASD student, I know the depth and dedication that all LASD school district personnel place on meeting the needs of all their learners.
