Having grown up between Egypt and the East Coast, I was always interested in learning more about the people and cultures around me.  This desire to learn about both people and culture led me to study Psychology at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  During my five years in Philly, I worked with children in mental health hospitals, outpatient therapy clinics, and schools; through these experiences, I learned that schools are where I belong.  While completing my graduate degrees at Chapman University, I worked with students in preschool through high school and have collaborated with teachers, staff, and families to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to support student's social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success.  My passion for mental health and wellness led me to obtain an additional emphasis in clinical counseling and I hope to be a friendly, reliable, and useful resource for students, teaches, and families alike.  During my free time, I enjoy cooking new recipes, eating desserts, camping with friends, and travelling to new places.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone who make LASD and Gardner Bullis special!
