I’ve had the honor of serving as the GB school librarian since 2012. It is a joy for me to teach information literacy and empower students with the ability to find answers to their questions. I also love igniting a passion for reading in each and every one of our students. My hope is to create a space where all students feel welcome and can see themselves and others in the pages they turn.

Librarianship is my second “career”. I graduated from UC Berkeley, Go Bears!, with a double emphasis major in Finance and Accounting, earned my CPA designation and was an auditor for about 15 years. After my son was born and having volunteered in his classroom and library, I discovered that I loved working with children in a school setting. I returned to school and earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Teacher Librarian Credential, and a Masters in Library and Informations Science.

When I’m not in the Library, I am with my family. I love to ski, hike, bike, boat, and spend time up at Lake Tahoe. Oh yes, I love to read and you will always find me with a book in my hands and ear buds in my ears (separately, of course)!
