Hello Gardner Bullis Community!

As promised, here is your first Bear Tracks of the 2018-19 school year!  The weekly Bear Tracks is put together by a few awesome parents (namely Kristy R!) and staff and is plum full of excellent information about the weeks ahead or events that we just held. Please take the time to read it each week and if you still have further questions, feel free to call our office or reach out to PTA.

Happy Summer!

I do hope you and your family had an amazing summer.  I spent as much time as I could outdoors enjoying backpacking with my husband, hiking with our Milliethetraildog, camping with friends, and hanging out at the lake for 8 days with friends and family!  Every minute was precious and invigorating.  It feels good to be back to get the school year going and I cannot wait to be together again as a school and hear all about your summer stories.

Staff Retreat

The GB staff has already spent some quality time together in preparation for the new school year.  We’ve had several meetings for various things-but mainly to ensure continued excellence in the classroom and bonded at a BBQ last Friday.  I cannot express how proud I am of our entire staff.  They are the most dedicate, professional, and caring staff I have ever worked with.  I just love them and look forward to seeing the good work they will continue to bring to our school.

Popcorn Social!

We look forward to seeing you at 4:00 pm Tuesday.  Class lists will be hung outside of teachers’ doors so you can see the other students who will be in your child's class.  While you are here, be sure to stop by the mural that is displayed on the outside of the servery.  OH MY!  Elizabeth D. is so talented and passionate about the art tiles that are now bursting into life on our walls.  If you see her, you will have to ask her about the mural.  It has meaning, purpose, and a story for all to enjoy.

First Day of School

Kindergarten families and new families to our school, please join us for a back-to-school coffee right after drop off.  We will meet in the multi-purpose room.  The PTA has planned an informative morning for you and you will have a chance to meet some pretty awesome parents.  J  For those parents who want to walk your student into class on the first day/week of school we welcome that, but please be mindful that parking can be tricky.

Happy to be back,

Nadia Oskolkoff, Principal
