Hello GB Community,

Saturday’s “Hang 10” Walk-a-Thon was totally tubular, dude!  A huge THANK YOU to Erin Hautop and her committee members: Aileen Breslow; Susan Lee; Tara Roussel; Laura Schmidt; Sara Hurst; Kei Worry; Courtney Carulli; and Anat Gottesman.  Their dedication and hard work paid off and hundreds of us celebrated yet another exciting WOT event. The dad’s flash mob was one of the best yet!  Follow @GardnerGrizzly and you can view the video.  I have not heard yet…but I am pretty certain we will hit our fundraising goal and Mrs. Axley and Mr. Schroeder will be SLIMED as promised during our Friday, Oct 26th assembly.  Let’s see… Thank you to all of the families and friends of families who participated and supported our cause.

The Great Shake-Out Earthquake Drill

This Thursday, Gardner Bullis and the entire school district will participate in The Great Shake-Out--an earthquake drill taking place across the country and world.  The GB staff will participate in the drill at a level that gives us the practice and skills we need in the event of a large earthquake.  Safety is always our number one concern at GB!

Heavenly Hat Parade

This year, our Heavenly Hat Parade has been moved to Friday, October 19th.  For a small donation to the Lucile Packard Foundation, and more specifically children with cancer, this is a day when students can wear a crazy and fun hat all day long.  Right after our assembly, we will parade around the lower playground to show off our hats.  Parents, you are invited to participate in both the donation drive and in the parade!  The more the merrier.

District Minimum Day: Thursday, October 18th

Please note Thursday the 18th will be a Minimum Day.  Kindergarten students are released at 12:00 pm and 1st-6th grade at 12:15 pm.  During this time, teachers will meet in grade level teams across the district to collaborate.

Hang Loose Good People,

Nadia Oskolkoff, Principal
