Hello GB Community,
Kindergarten & New Family Night is this Thursday, December 6th at 7:00 pm. This is a night for incoming kindergarten families and new families with older students to come in and learn about the awesomeness of Gardner. If you have neighbors with little ones ready for school next year or are new to the community, please invite them to our evening.
Hour of Code
This upcoming week (December 3 -9th) is Computer Science Education Week, a week dedicated to showing students the importance of computer science education through the Hour of Code. Thanks to the funding from LAEF, every LASD student has the opportunity to learn to code through the STEM and CSTEM program. To celebrate this week, students in classrooms will code with Dash and Dot, Scratch Jr., Beebots, and Kodables on the iPads. Upper-grade students will participate in CSTEM activities but also partner with their younger buddy students to share knowledge and experiences. Please see more at https://www.lasdschools.org/
