Hello GB community,

Please join me in congratulating Gardner’s Teacher of the Year: Ms. CJ Evenhuis!  Nominated and honored by her peers, Ms. Evenhuis is recognized for her passion for students and the ability to create an environment where students feel safe, are engaged, and cannot wait to learn.  We are proud of her and excited as she moves on to the next steps.  Thank you for all that you do for GB, CJ!

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in JOs this weekend.  We are all very proud of you and your successes but most of all we are proud of the fact that you tried your best and did it!  Thank YOU to Laura S., Amanda B., Tara R., and Dee S. for your never-ending energy and ginormous giving heart to the Junior Olympics!  You four are golden through and through.  Of course, a shout out to every parent or GB rep who volunteered on Saturday to help with security throughout the day.  A GB high-five to each one of you!  AND, last but no way least, THANK YOU to our very own Mr. Ortman for being the super-hero coach/PE teacher/JOs “director”/Field Day go-to-guy that he is.  He worked hard with students and parents to get everyone ready for the big day and we all appreciate him.

A HUGE THANK YOU!

The 6th graders would like to thank the students, parents, and staff for their support with the 6th-grade café on Wednesday.  Together, they raised $1, 245.60!!!  They could not have raised this much money (the highest amount ever) without your support, but especially without the support of Ms. Jordan and Mr. Schreiner!   Please join me in thanking our two AMAZING teachers!  The 6th graders have not yet decided what the “6th-grade gift” to the school will be but once they do, they will be sure to let you all know.

A garden to feel thankful for

Have you seen the update kinder garden? (did you catch the pun?)  It is adorable and so GREEN!  Oh my goodness.  If you have not seen it please skip over there and take a peek and then thank parents Kater C and Justin H for their hard work and green thumbs!
