Good evening,
Last night, we hosted the Kindergarten/New Family Welcome Night and had a full house of prospective families for the 20-21 school year. The energy in the room and pride for our school filled my bucket over the top. Teachers, students, and parents shared why belonging to a small neighborhood school such as Gardner Bullis is so special. We had the opportunity to highlight our core instructional program, social-emotional learning, the arts, incredible community activities, and our love for all things STEM. Thank you to all who came out last night to support our cause!
The Book Fair and Project Night-Night
Speaking of a cause, our book fair begins next week! This is a favorite for all and the perfect time to pick up the perfect holiday gifts. Please join us on Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm for our annual Cocoa and Pajama Night! Students are encouraged to join us in their winter pajamas for coco and 2 special guest readers. During this event, students will have an opportunity to purchase books for Project Night-Night. These books will be wrapped with donated blankets and delivered to a local charity who supports children in need. Thursday, December 12th, students will be encouraged to donate their recess time to help organize the blankets and books.
Winter Music Concert
The staff and I are very much looking forward to the Winter Music Concert on Monday. Our 4th - 6th-grade students have worked hard and deserve this special day. We hope to see you there at 1:00 pm. This annual event would not be possible without the support of LAEF!
SHREK!
On Friday, December 13th at 7:00 pm and Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 pm, please join us for a FREE but priceless performance of Shrek. GB students have been practicing for months and it is time for them to shine! You will not be disappointed.
I wish you all a peaceful weekend,
Nadia
