Happy Lunar New Year to all!

This morning, we enjoyed learning about Lunar New Year from multiple GB families. It was informative and oh-so-cute! I wish all of our families a Happy 2020 Year of the Rat and look forward to next week! If you are interested to learn more about Lunar New Year and some of the legends, you can visit this website.

4th Graders!

Thank you to Mrs. Axley and students who presented at the PTA meeting this morning. James, Vanessa, Mylee, Sophia, Issac, and Emma, along with all 4th graders, are clearly busy learning about nonfiction reading, informational writing, fractions, and how to be a caring "room 10 family." I was so proud of them!

Gratitude

Over the holiday season, we collected jackets for those in need and Helene K delivered them to Watsonville. Below is an email she recently received: :-)

“Please thank the students and everyone involved with the coordinating and donation of the jackets. We distributed every single item donated. Some of the items went to a single mother with four children. Before the donation, she was having her children wear multiple t-shirts to help cover the coldness. That family was extremely grateful. We also were able to provide items to a family that had just lost their belongings to a fire. These are just two of the many families that you all helped with your donations. Families are extremely grateful.”

Happy Friday!
