Hello Gardner Community!

Happy Staff Appreciation Week! I am so grateful for our team at Gardner Bullis. They have shown this community how they will stop at nothing to make sure our students are taught well and loved.

The staff and I have truly felt appreciated by students and parents this week (always, really) as you have shown your appreciation. Even though it has been a virtual experience this year, we felt your presence and kind thoughts just as much as we ever have! Thank you for going out of your way to make sure we feel special with videos, poems, virtual flowers, gifts, and our staff paint night! Especially thank you to Gilda and Helene for their guided leadership and endless creativity.

Friday Assembly
Thank you to all who participated and helped make our live stream assembly happen this morning! 6th-grade student leaders-Samatha, Nickaan, Ateeya, and Sophia- were ON IT, 3rd grader Penelope’s poem was awesome, and Mrs. Loebner’s announcement was perfect. However, the real superstar was Mrs. Axley who helped set up all the tech and was in the background the whole time making sure everything went smoothly. Whew…

Next week we will have our Friday Assembly in the Grizzly Greatness classroom again with a very-veRY-VERY special guest saying the Pledge. Stay tuned! You can visit the classroom this week as there are links for the talent show AND new mindfulness videos from Coach Courtney!

Friday, May 22nd will be our next LIVE FRIDAY ASSEMBLY at 8:30 and the theme for spirit day will be CRAZY HAIR DAY! The link will be posted in each classroom as we get closer to that date!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of GB’s mommas, grandmas, and other loving female influencers in our students’ lives. I wish you breakfast in bed, homemade cards, a bushel of “garden-cut” weeds that look like flowers to a child’s eye, and tiny hugs. You all deserve the best of Sundays.
