Hello Gardner Parents,

The COLOR ME CRAZY Walkathon was a huge success despite the off-and-on rain!  The kids enjoyed the colors and the intermediate raindrops only added to the fun of it all.  Our focus was to raise money for education and the North Bay fire victims and I believe we met that task.  None of this special day would have happened without the FUN-LOVING chair Jody V and her team:  Aileen B, Susan L, Anat G, Annie S, Laura S, Divya V, and Kelly L!  THANK YOU!  Also, thank you to ALL of the parents who helped all day Saturday from early morning set-up to afternoon cleanup.  This day is one of my favorite ways to build Gardner community.

Lost and Found is Overflowing!

Please take a moment to check the Lost and Found if you are on campus or remind your children to stop by and take a look. You can find it in the foyer of the multi.

Solar Project Update

Due to delays with paperwork at the state architect’s office, the next phase of construction (drilling and pouring concrete) is postponed until the week of November 13.  We still expect to complete construction by the December 31 deadline.

Black Matter Halloween

A huge shout out to Sandy T. and Meera M. for organizing the Black Matter Halloween lunchtime event.  They arranged for Ryan Linehan from Kipac to come and speak to the students about ghost particles and dark matter.  It was cool, spooky, and fun!

Halloween Candy is Being Shipped Off to the Troops!

Thank you to everyone who brought in their Halloween candy.  Ms. Jordan and her students packed up over 10 boxes full of candy and notes from the students that will be shipped off to the troops this week.  Grizzlies are Kind!

Thank you and wishing you a wonderful week,

Nadia Oskolkoff, Principal
