Hello GB Community,
Thursday night I had the opportunity, along with Mrs. Hertz, Mrs. Loebner, and Mrs. Voelker, to meet our new incoming families for the 2018-19 school year. I enjoy this evening because I get to meet the new families on their way to Gardner Bullis, but I also enjoy this evening because I am just so proud of our school and all that we have done and all of who we are. It feels very good to stand before them and tell them about our students, parents, district, and staff members and all that we do and accomplish. I am very grateful for each and every one of you.
BOOK FAIR
I look forward to seeing all of you at the Cocoa and Pajama Night on Wednesday, December 13th. This also just happens to be National Hot Cocoa day! I will have a book or two or three to read to the students and a special surprise for them. Students will also have an opportunity to give a book to other students in the Bay Area who will surely appreciate the gift of a book. J
Second Harvest
Speaking of give back, 5th and 6th grade students will be curbside Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning collecting dry food items to donate to families in need throughout the Bay Area. We thank you in advance for your support in this Student Council project. So far we have collected enough food to fill 2 bins. Let’s fill all 12 bin that have been given to us by Second Harvest!
While we still have a full week of school next week, this will be our last Bear Track until the New Year. I wish you and your family a warm and family-filled holiday season. There are so many ways to celebrate during the months of November and December but the most important thing is that we are together with our loved ones. I look forward to seeing my Grizzly family in the New Year-January 2018!
Warmly,
Nadia Oskolkoff, Principal
