Welcome back families,

I very much look forward to seeing all of the students and hearing about their vacations and time of reprieve last week. Like you, I enjoy the downtime with my family (including our dog Millie) and the woods, but I do miss my Gardner family if we are apart for too long.  During this break, I was able to hike Mt. Diablo and go “glamping” at the coast, and although it was chilly at both places, there really is no a better way to relax.

If it has felt cold to you as of late, you are not the only one.  Usually, “Sunny” the turtle pops up out of hibernation by now, but he is still nowhere to be seen.  Let’s hope that does not mean another “6 weeks” of winter.

Book Quest Celebration

Everyone is invited to join us for the BookQuest Celebration on Thursday, March 1st -6-8 PM (in Gardner Bullis Multi). Come and browse 87 books published by our own Grizzly students! Mitali Perkins, celebrated author of "Bamboo People", "Tiger Boy", "Rickshaw Girl" and other books, will join us to share her writing experience to further inspire our students. We will also hold raffle prizes for our student authors and light refreshments will be served. All are invited!

Last year, Town Crier newspaper covered our celebration - please check out the following links to see the pictures and/or to read last year's article:
