Box Tops Collection
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10¢! Just look for the pink Box Tops on hundreds of products. All you have to do is clip them and send them in to your child's/children's teacher(s).

Last school year, we earned $330.70 for our school from Box Tops.  All money earned was/is contributed to our PTA. This school year, our goal is to earn $500.

The first submission deadline is quickly approaching so please submit any you have by Friday, 10/26/18.  Any Box Tops turned in after this date will count towards our school's next earnings check! The class that collects the most by Friday, December 14, will win a popsicle party.

BookQuest

Welcome back to BookQuest - the program that gives every Grizzly Student a chance to become a published writer! And a chance to give back to the community.

Go online to www.gardnerbullis.org and click on BookQuest under the "GB Events" tab. Purchase a publishing kit for $25 by Nov. 2, 2018. For every kit purchased, $5 will go towards a cause to be determined by our Student Council.

Last year we raised $570 and the money was given to the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health. See Stanford's blog where they recognize Gardner Bullis for this donation: http://supportlpch.org/blog/inspiration-kick-your-school-year. The kits will be delivered to classrooms by Nov. 16, 2018. This is a take home project! Submit completed kits to the classroom by Jan. 25, 2019 and the books will get published in time to be displayed at the BookQuest Celebration, which will be on April 2, 2019 - International Children's Book Day. All are invited to the celebration. We will have a special guest author, prizes, and of course, our student authors will get to take their published books home!

Notice from the District Nurse:

School is a place where colds and diseases can spread rapidly. Children who are ill should stay home from school, rest and recuperate. Sometimes it is difficult, especially early in the morning, to know whether or not to send your child to school. The following guidelines are indications that you should keep your child home:

Fever of 99.6 F or higher
Vomiting or diarrhea
Chills
Nausea
Coughing, sneezing and/or runny nose
Headache
Wheezing or trouble breathing
Sore throat or trouble swallowing
Rash or unusual sores or spots
Generalized muscle aches and pains
Unusually red, crusted or burning eyes
Head Lice
It is required to keep your child home until he/she has been symptom free without medication for 24 hours. Please call the Gardner Bullis Attendance Line (650-559-3232) 24 hours/7 days a week.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping us all healthy!
