Hello Gardner Families,
It is with great Joy that I introduce to you the latest TWO additions to the Grizzly family. Vicki Lombardi recently had her twins-Lucas and Tyler-and the “Lombardi Clan” is doing very well and resting at home. The staff is so happy for them and looks forward to meeting these two little guys.
Student Council Update
This week we went through Rounds 1 and 2 of our Student Council elections and had 26 students participate in the application and interview process. We are very proud of ALL 26 students. Round 3 begins on Monday, October 2nd and will consist of a week of campaigning for the 19 students who have advanced. At the end of the week, all students will vote for their Student Council President, Vice, President, Treasurer, Secretary, and two Assistants.
Caring for Hurricane and Earthquake Victims
Thank you to all of the families who have donated to one of the multiple fundraisers to help the natural disaster victims. The teachers and I (and in particular Mrs. Leinenbach and Mrs. Chambers) especially thank you for helping us to adopt the 7 classrooms in Houston. It is not too late to donate and here is an updated link to their school supplies needed.
Our Mexico City fundraiser lead by parent Magali C. begins Friday, October 6th during pick up time. Starting at 2:00 pm, please look for the table of baked goods, flavored gelatins, tamales, and shaved ice. All donations will support the victims of the devastating earthquake in Mexico City.
October's Character Trait of the Month
