Hello Gardner Families,

Wow!  On Thursday evening we had a heart-felt BookQuest event with over 70 student authors!  It made us so proud to see not only their talent in writing but a love for reading.  The evening would not have been possible without two special parents who worked tirelessly to make it happen.  Thank you very much toAnna Kermani and Elaine Wang who both put so much thoughtfulness into this very special event.  Again, we are very proud of all of our authors and look forward to seeing how they continue to write.

Bear Paw Paper

Speaking of a reading and writing, I am very proud to share our 1st edition of the Bear Paw Paper - brought to you by our very own Gardner students who have worked very hard to make this happen.  Please Enjoy!

Heavenly Hats

The Student Council would like to tell you about a fundraising event that will take place next Friday, March 10th.  Students may wear their favorite hat to school in exchange for a minimum $1 donation that we will then donate to the Cancer Society and specifically to a local hospital with children battling cancer.  As much as possible, we encourage donations to actually come from the students’ very own piggy banks to help make the donation feel special.  In exchange for their donation, they will receive a sticker to wear and an opportunity to wear their hat to school.   To celebrate our hats, the entire school will participate in a “hat parade” during morning assembly on Friday, March 10th

Living Classroom

Become a LIVING CLASSROOM docent... share your love of nature with kids!

It's time to plant tomatoes, dissect flowers, explore the plants used by the Ancient Civilizations, and harvest and make yummy pretzels from the winter wheat the students planted last Fall!  If you like all those things and more, please consider becoming a Living Classroom docent!  Living Classroom is looking for docents to help deliver hands-on garden-based lessons to the students of the Los Altos School District.  No experience necessary as we provide all the training needed!  OurSpring Docent Training will take place Monday mornings in March from 9 - Noon on 3/6, 3/13, 3/20 and 3/27.  Please click HERE to view our Spring Training Flyerwhich lists the locations of each of our trainings.  Apprentice-style training also available to those who can’t make our Monday morning trainings.
