One Warm Coat Drive Together, our Girl Scouts Troops (Cadets, Brownies and Daisies) and Student Council are hosting - One Warm Coat drive. WHEN: December 5 – 14, 2016 WHAT CAN YOU DO: Bring new or gently used coats, scarves, gloves, hats, and (new) socks for adults, teenagers and children and place them in the bins at the front of Gardner Bullis Elementary from 8AM-3PM. A yummy morning treat will be served in exchange for your donation from 8AM-8:30AM! Help us spread the warmth this holiday season! |
Girls on the Run Girls on the Run is a life-changing, after-school program for girls in 4th-6th grades. The Book Fair is coming!! At Gardner Bullis, we believe that a book fair is more than a book sale. It's an opportunity to bring a huge selection of books to our school and help build excitement about reading! The Book Fair is coming to Gardner Bullis on Dec. 13 - 16, right before the holiday break, and provides a terrific opportunity for families to select great books for their children, family, and friends. Hundreds of wonderful books are available for purchase at the Book Fair, and with every purchase, Gardner Bullis earns credits to support the school with books, equipment and more. |

Become a LIVING CLASSROOM docent... share your love of nature with kids! It's time to build bird nests, make yummy soup from the veggies we harvest from our school gardens, discover symmetry inside fruit, and make natural dyes from plants! If you like all those things and more, please consider becoming a Living Classroom docent! Living Classroom is looking for docents to help deliver hands-on garden-based lessons to the students of the Los Altos School District. No experience necessary as we provide all the training needed! Our Winter Docent Training will take place at the LASD iLearn Studio on Monday mornings from 9 - Noon on 12/5, 12/12*, 1/9 and 1/23 (*the 12/12 training will take place at the Palo Alto School District Science Resource Center). 30th Annual Los Altos Kiwanis Tree Lot If you have not yet purchased your Christmas tree, please visit the Los Altos Kiwanis Tree Lot. Proceeds benefit our local schools!
The lot is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Mondays through Fridays 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The lot is located at the Lucky’s parking lot @ Foothill Expressway & Arboretum. Holiday Carriage Rides Enjoy a festive horse-drawn carriage ride along downtown streets adorned with holiday twinkle lights and decorations. Carriage holds up to four adults and two children. Please feel free to use these lists when choosing books for your kids. Students may also return and purchase books during book fair hours when they are not in class. Teacher Wish Lists Teachers are asked to select books for their classroom libraries. Bins for each teacher will be on location at the Book Fair. Please take the time to peruse! Holiday Barn Lighting Sunday, Dec. 4, 2:00 – 5:00
Westwind Community Barn Join the Los Altos Hills community for a special holiday celebration.
